Reduction of salary under Ministerial Resolution no. 279/2020

My company is reducing my salary and some allowance and using ministerial resolution 279 to do this. If we do not agree we have been told we will be fired.

Also, the company is only limiting impact due to COVID-19. Do I have any option but to accept?

Dear client,

In such a situation, the salary can be reduced with a mutual understanding of employer and employee.

Thanks

Dear questioner,

As per the recent resolution by MOL, any reduction on employee salary has to be done in the agreement between the employee and the employer.

Therefore, you have the option to accept or reject

If need be, kindly contact us by phone for a detailed discussion or write to us at our email for further assistance.

The decision stated that the employer must implement the procedures step by step gradually and that it requires the consent of the worker.

Without the consent of the worker, the employer cannot compel the worker to reduce his salary.

You can send an email to the employer stating that you reject the decision to reduce your salary.

And if you have been fired, I consider this an arbitrary chapter which merits compensation.
