Terminating a tenancy contract by a tenant because of job loss
Hi,
I have lost my job and my next cheque is due next month, April. My tenancy ends on June 9.
Can I terminate my contract now? And if so, how can I proceed?

Dear questioner,
You can speak with the landlord and tell him about your current situation. However, usually, for early termination, there is a penalty stipulated in your tenancy contract.
So in case the landlord will not accept to reach any settlement with you, you will have to pay the penalty mentioned in the tenancy contract (if there is any).

Early termination should be mutually agreed between the Tenant and the Landlord.
Thus, approach the Landlord and explain your situation and inability to continue to avoid the penalty, because the Tenancy agreement can't be terminated before its expiry date and, anyway, you have to send the Landlord a notice that you will not renew the Tenancy contract.
