Dear Questioner,

As per the law, you cannot ask the staff to take unpaid leave. This is not decelerated by the UAE Government as an epidemic outbreak. Accordingly, the court will consider this as a business normal risks and cannot be subject to Force Majeure.

Some people depend on insurance companies when they argue that heavy rains and weather are subject to force majeure which the court does not accept as long as the government did not announce that this circumstance is unexpected.

Dear questioner,

You can file a claim with MOHRE for arbitrary dismissal for forced unpaid leave.
