Claiming passport and salary for two months from employer

Hello,

My question is the employer is not giving me my passport asking to sign long unpaid leave. Two months and the salary is not paid.

The employer is asking to sign long unpaid leave backdated two months. Not giving my passport unless I sign.

Please help me, what should I do?

How to make sure I get my passport back?

What if he will be scared by the complaint and lie that he doesn't have it?

Please help, what is the best way?

Hello.

Your employer does not have the right to hold your passport.

You can file a request for an expedited order from the court for your employer to return your passport.

Once the court issues the order for your employer to return the passport, you can go to the police station who will liaise with your employer to return your passport.

For options moving forward, feel free to contact my firm by email.

Alternatively, you can tune in to my podcast on this topic particularly here.

Thank you so much for your advice.

It's informative and right to the point. I really appreciate it.

Was just wondering, to file a request to the court, are the courts open at the moment for this?

And if not, how can I do it?

I am in Sharjah.

Thank you once again, Miss.
