Expatriates divorce in the UAE despite husband's refusal

What should I do if my husband refused to divorce me in the UAE?

He used to say, for the past 7 months, that I have to wait until we go back to our home country; without proper maintenance or intimacy.

So as an African housewife, I can get divorced in the UAE, right?

I am scared as I have two kids and I have no job nor money.

Thanks!

You can file for divorce in Dubai.

All you have to do is going to the Personal Status Court and register a divorce invitation.

I advise you to find the best solution for the family before you decide to divorce.

Yes, we have, but he refused to talk to anybody about that until I leave the UAE. He is not going to talk to anybody; neither his family nor mine.

Also, some of our friends here in the UAE intervene, but he said no until we leave the UAE and I think I have the right to know what's going on before I can travel with him.

In 2018 we were fighting in our home country in which I got punched, but he begged me and I moved back to the UAE with him so I don't want the same thing to happen again.

Thanks!

Please, does he has the right to install a camera in the house as we are temporarily separated for 7 months now without telling me.

This makes me feel uncomfortable in the house in which I have to put on my hijab in the house or cant walk freely as I don't know his intentions for installing the camera.

I don't want any issues that will cause arguments and leads to fighting but this is the issue of my privacy in the house.

Please advise me

Thanks.
