I have tried setting up meetings with the public prosecutor but every time the online application gets rejected, even for a meeting with the public prosecutor. Q: Dear Sir, My brother was involved in an incident at his company that claimed two lives (the victims died in a sewage tank). During this process, my brother happened to be a safety officer in that company but the supervisor and the managers assigned those workers who died during the cleaning of the sewage tank without informing the safety department. During the police investigation, my brother's passport was seized by the police and the case was referred to public prosecution. After the final investigation, my brother (safety officer) was not guilty as the public prosecutor decided, but the supervisor was guilty since he gave the order to those workers to carry out the unsafe work without informing the safety department for proper risk assessment. The supervisor was given a 5-month jail term. Concerning my brother, his case ended at the public prosecution office since he was not guilty, but since then, his passport is still held with the court. Please, I need advice. Thanks Taka Farhad

Q: Hello I have an issue with my sister's boyfriend (Emirati man). My nationality is Croatian. My sister stays pregnant with him in a non-marriage relationship. He rejects her and he stops any contact with her. One time I called him to ask why he does that. After few days, the police called me and told me how he opened a case against me. He told the police I want to kill him through the mafia. I spent 3 nights in custody, I spoke with the public prosecutor, with a judge. They keep my passport and now after one month, I don't know what is the result of all that case. My residence visa expires, I want to solve this. Please advise me. Regards

Q: My case has been referred to the public prosecution even after I compensated to the company for the loss. They took my passport as security. How can I get the passport? My visa is immigration visa.

Q: My Al Rahba Court police case for a credit card has been finished and settled. The fine was already paid. They had given me a letter to claim my refund amounting to AED 2,000. Al Rahba Court said I will go to any Tasheel Branch and submit the attached and my IBAN number for a refund. I visited Tasheel Khalidiya and said that I need to go to Tawafuq Mussafah. Tawafuq Mussafah said they are not taking charge of any refunds. Please do advise what can I do, or where will I go to claim my refund. This was the bail I paid previously which was supposed to be deducted from the fine I paid.

Q: I am a visitor to Dubai. I have an extradition case. I have signed a paper with the Dubai police that I will be on my own to go to Peru to resolve my issues with the authority there. I am on bail from 03 to 18 March and my case is already closed at the public prosecution. I wanted to know what's the procedure and how long it will take for me to get the clearance from Abu Dhabi for me to receive my passport and bail money back and leave allow to Dubai. I have applied to the public prosecutor to get my passport and bail money back but it has been rejected.
