However, please note that your passport should be always in your possession as it is illegal for the employer to keep it against your will.

In addition, the original educational certificates should be returned on termination.

As long as the labour case is running and not settled, your employment and residency visa has to remain valid until the claim is settled and closed. Then, you can proceed with termination.
