Abandoning wife and child in home country without maintenance
Dear lawyer,
I want to ask about my husband who brought me to Pakistan along with my 4-year-old son on vacation and forcefully took my son's passport from me and left me all alone with the child without any expenditure.
I am on job visa and my son is under father sponsorship. Now I cannot travel back with my child because my inlaws are holding the passport for my son and blackmailing me that they will forcefully take my child.
I want to come back to the UAE as I have to report to my employer but I need my son's passport. My husband blocked my number and closed communication when he went back.
Dear Questioner,
Simply, you can make a new passport for your child whilst you are in your home country Pakistan.
After you finalize it, you can visit the UAE with your son on a visit visa.
Then you will be able to sue your husband to claim your elements and benefits.
Regarding your manager's connection, you can email him briefly what happened with you and I do believe that he will understand that.
Thanks.

Hello,
1- You can report to the authorities in Pakistan about the incident of taking the child's passport by force. However, in some regions, it is the right for the father to keep the child's passport but at least report about it.
2- You can come to the UAE and initiate a case against your husband for the non-payment of your expenses and appoint a law firm. We also do the personal status matters and we can follow up the case for you even if you are not in the UAE.
3- inform your employer about the situation and take his approval on the unexpected absence to secure yourself from any violation of the labour law.
