Termination of employment contract during probation
If an employee has been terminated after 6 months probation, should he serve the notice period of 1 month?

Thanks for writing to me.
As per Article 37 of the UAE labour law, the employer may at its discretion terminate the employment contract without notice during the probation period.
If the employee wishes to terminate the employment contract during probation, it is better to serve the stipulated notice period either as per the contract or as per the law.
This is applicable in case of termination of the unlimited contract.
If the contract is limited, the risk of 6 months employment ban is more than the unlimited one.
