Q: Hi,
I currently live in Canada and would like to get a Police Clearance Certificate for immigration purposes (to apply for permanent residence). I tried online twice but I have failed.
I worked in the UAE (Abu Dhabi & Ajman) from 2013 to 2016. Unfortunately, I had to leave the UAE without informing my employer, bank, tenant, etc. due to my wife's emergency medical situation.
I never returned back to the UAE. Later, I got to know that my employer has put me abscond. I would like to get assistance with checking for court cases filed against me.
Thank You!

How to know whether you have a criminal or civil case and how to clear them

16
Q: I left the country last year and I have an unpaid personal loan with a bank and credit card bill in another (all together AED 75000).
The bank has filed a case against me already (as per their email).
Now I need to know whether the bank has filed a civil case or criminal case since the amount is less than AED 200000.
Also, I need to know whether is it possible to get a criminal record check or police clearance without paying my debt.

Does a drug possession case appear in the criminal record?

2
Q: Dear sir/madam,
I need help, please!
My brother who is a resident was arrested for drug possession and usage in 2022 in Abu Dhabi, then the court decision was only payment of 10,000 AED.
If he is employed in a well-known company such as Microsoft, Reuters, Sheraton and etc, does the employer know the case?
And If he wants to change employer later, is it possible for this decision to appear to anyone on his criminal record?
Or does the new law consider it as a misdemeanor and it doesn’t appear a criminal record or certificate of proper behavior and attitude?

Consequences of leaving the UAE without canceling the employment contract 0
I have been in Dubai 2 years ago. I left the country before the end of my contract with a hotel. I resigned after 4 months, they asked me to pay AED 5000 penalty.
Instead of paying the penalty, I just left and got back to my country. Am I banned? Will I be able to work in Dubai in the future?

Deducting housing allowance from end of service gratuity upon resignation 0
I have resigned from my current job and my last day is May 9th after a notice period of 2 months. I was employed for 4 years.
My employer has paid me a full year housing allowance and would like to deduct the remaining months from my end of service. Is this allowed? I have not been made aware that the amount would be deducted in case I resign.
Also, I am entitled to 30 days of leave per year. Since I have resigned, they have applied a pro-rata for this year for the end of service calculation. Is this allowed?
Shouldn't I be compensated for the 30 days that I have not taken?
Thank you!
