Q: Hi, I just wanted clarification on something.
I recently wrote to a clinic where I had a bad experience - in a private email - to complain about the service. The clinic has now threatened me with breach of Federal Law. I haven't published anything on social media but did say in my email that I wouldn't recommend the clinic on platforms where families chat about which clinic they should choose for IVF.
How much in trouble am I with the Clinic? What can they do? I was just expressing my personal experience!
Thank you.

Actions against false charges of Etisalat utility bills
4
Q: Hi
I have a due amount of Etisalat post-paid bill of AED 300 for the month of March. I went to India for some urgent work. When I came after 30 days, the bill was AED 600.
They charge me some services also. I asked them to cancel the connection, and they said it will be a charge of AED 150. I was not under any contract.
They didn't inform me and stopped my incoming and outgoing, and continued to charge me every month and the bill became 1600 till today.
I filed a complaint in Etisalat also that I want to settle down the bill, but I will only pay for the amount which I had used. I will not pay for the additional charges they are putting illegally.
Now, I received a call from Tashil and a message that my credit score rating is being impacted. I told them I want to pay but for the amount which I used, not any kind of false charges.
What effects can it make on my credit bureau as it's almost 15 days and I didn't receive any single follow up from Etisalat?

The consumer's right to report high service charges

Q: A chiller company (X) in Dubai is charging AED 2/ton while all other chiller companies charge much less (e.g. (Y) charges AED 0.568/ton). So the difference is huge between those 2 companies.
For a 1 bedroom apartment within the same month, X is charging AED 1100 while Y is charging 618 which almost half.
Are there no regulations from the government for cooler charges?
And shouldn't there be some customer rights on how much chiller companies can charge?
Thanks.

Contractual rights of a former employee 0
I resigned from my position in October 2016. The company is threatening legal action for soliciting employees and starting my own business to compete with them. All false allegations.
I have responded to their lawyers already but I wanted to know if I have a case against them as not all my contractual rights were honoured.

Penalty for the extension of a tenancy contract 4
Dear Sir/ Mam,
I am staying in Sharjah. We stayed in the same flat for the last 2 years. Our contract is ended on May 5th. But as we are migrating to another country we requested our landlord to stay here till June end 2 months back. He agreed to the same at that time.
Now he is asking to give 3 months more rent from June as a penalty to settle the things. Our contract already finished now.
Please advice what to do as we are not in a good financial position to give 3-month rent without staying.

Negotiating credit card outstandings with the bank 10
Hi, I lost my job a year ago and I have an outstanding credit card of AED 300k. I've missed the last 9 monthly payments (I am negotiating directly with the bank). I am willing to settle the credit card with one lump sum payment that a friend will lend me.
How much discount on the balance of AED 300k can I negotiate to settle the matter? Should I also ask for a clearance/ no liability letter?
