Consequences of credit card debts in the UAE
1
Q: Hi
I am working in Dubai and I have a credit card with limit 10000 (which is fully used) and a personal loan of AED 37000 balance with a bank.
The last 9 months, I was having problems with my job and was not able to pay my credit card minimum amount, but I have not defaulted on my loan amount.
Yesterday, I got a call from a legal agent claiming to file a case for the credit card. I am not in a situation to pay both the dues together but I can pay my credit card dues once I settle my personal loan which is 3700 x 10 more months.
How to resolve the issue?
If they file a case against me, will I be imprisoned for the said amount of AED 10,000?

Criminal complaints with regard to cheque dishonor
1
Q: My friend was detained by police at Dubai airport while coming back from India for a cheque which bounced 3 years back.
The person did not give back my friend's cheques which equalled to around AED 600000 & has registered a complaint now in Ajman.
This cheque was given as a guarantee and the drawee was not supposed to present it to the bank. My friend kept asking for his cheques back after the deal was closed but he wouldn't give.
He assured it won't be presented in the bank. But he presented it & kept silent for more than 3 years & now has registered the case. Now he is detained by the police in Ajman.
What is going to happen in his case? How long will he be detained at the police station until the court decides?
What will be his penalty? So what I need to know is that can anybody file a case after more than 3 years?
How can he apply for bail & does he have to pay for it? Is there a minimum period he has to be in detention before he gets bail?
How long will it take for the judgement to be made?

Hi,
I have signed a non-compete clause (under unlimited contract) with my previous company. After working for 8 years with them, they terminated me.
I have now joined a competitor considering there was no other job available in the market. Now after 7 months, my previous company has filed a legal suit asking for compensation considering I am in a similar role and in the same territory.
What is the available remedy?

Filing a case against husband by a non-Muslim wife for adultery 0
I am a non-Muslim Indian woman. I discovered that my husband is having an affair with another woman. I know it is a criminal offense in the UAE and I want to know about the punishment for such an offense.
I would also like to know what kind of evidence is required to file a criminal case?
We both share the same laptop at home and the screen was not clear so I took a backup of the pictures where I have my marriage pictures and also my daughter's pictures. In that, I have found an adultery video of my husband with a woman, close pictures, and some messages.
Once I spoke to him about it, he broke the laptop but I have those pictures with me.
Please help me!

Ensuring that the employee will not approach the clients after leaving 0
I have a small company of 4 people. One of my oldest staff who has worked for 11 years is leaving. He handles 80% of my clients and work.
Without proof, I know he is going to open his firm. I don't want to harm him but I want to secure my clients. Is it legally okay for me to make him sign a contract that he cannot approach my clients in the near future?
If yes, then what will be the procedure?
Do I have to go to the notary to make this contract valid?
