How to verify the correct case number and complainant details on the Prosecution website?
I got a message from the prosecution. It was like: “Criminal Report No. 27***/2025 has been registered by Criminal Case No. 7***/2025.” I checked it on the Public Prosecution’s website, but first of all, I’m not sure which number I should check as the case number — 27*** or 7*** — because these are different issues according to the website. And how can I be certain about the complainant’s side of the case or the file description?
Be advised: The message means your police report (27***/2025) has been registered as a criminal case (7***/2025). You can check the case status online using 7***/2025, but the complainant's details will not appear there.
We can also check your case status for you — for more details, please share your WhatsApp number so we can assist you properly.
The message you received indicates that a criminal report has been officially registered and linked to a criminal case number.
To confirm the case details, including the complainant’s information and file description, you will need to access the Public Prosecution system using the correct criminal case number (usually the second one) or visit the prosecution office directly.
As the process can be sensitive and may involve legal implications, we recommend booking a consultation or authorizing Future Vision for Advocacy and Legal Consultancy to review the case and obtain the full details on your behalf. We are happy at Future Vision Law Advocates and Legal Consultancy to assist you and provide the best legal services that meet your needs.
To contact us, you can call, WhatsApp, or email us. You can also easily book an audio or video legal consultation through the website.

In Dubai, when you receive a message from the Public Prosecution stating that “Criminal Report No. 27***/2025 has been registered as Criminal Case No. 7***/2025”, it means the initial police report (criminal report) has now been formally transferred to the prosecution as a criminal case under a new case number.
The first number (27***/2025) represents the police complaint or criminal report lodged with the police. The second number (7***/2025) is the prosecution case number assigned after the file was referred to the Public Prosecution for investigation or prosecution. Therefore, you should check the prosecution case number (7***/2025) when accessing the Public Prosecution website or portal, as this is the active file under which all subsequent actions, summons, or hearings will be recorded.
To know who filed the complaint, the nature of the charge, and the details of the file, you can request a copy of the case file directly from the Public Prosecution service center or log in using your UAE Pass credentials on the Dubai Public Prosecution website to view the complete file contents, including the complainant’s name and description of the offence.
