Questions & Answers
I have a case filed against me in the public prosecution. What does it mean when the status is "at disposal"?
A girl submitted a case against me (ھتک العرض التھدید).
I checked my case status on the UAE Public Prosecution app.
The case status shows “at disposal” (تحت التعرف). But I didn't understand what it meant or what the case status is now.
Here what is meant by “at disposal” is that the Public Prosecution has not yet taken a decision regarding your case, whether to investigate, set a hearing, or collect evidence.
You should follow up and ask from time to time about the Public Prosecution’s application. If you need our help, you can share your WhatsApp number.
Dear.
The case file is still in the possession of the Public Prosecution to issue a decision either to close the case or refer it to court.
We advise you in all cases to seek the assistance of a lawyer to finalize the matter for you.
If anything else is required, don’t hesitate to contact us via email or call our offices in Dubai or Sharjah.

Dear Questioner,
When the case status shows "under-recognition" in the UAE Public Prosecution app, it typically means that your case is still in the initial stages of acknowledgment and processing by the authorities.
Here are some key points to understand about this status:
1. Initial Processing:
"Under recognition" status indicates that the public prosecution has received the case and is acknowledging its existence. It is the stage where they are likely to review the details, assess the claims made, and initiate the necessary steps for further investigation, if required.
2. Acknowledgment:
The status suggests that the public prosecution has recognized the case and is in the process of determining the appropriate actions to be taken based on the allegations presented.
3. Further Steps:
Following the acknowledgment stage, the public prosecution may proceed with gathering evidence, conducting inquiries, and evaluating the legal aspects of the case to determine the next steps, which may include issuing summonses, conducting hearings, or other legal procedures.
4. Patience and Updates:
It is essential to allow the authorities to conduct their investigation and legal processes diligently. You may expect further updates on the progress of the case as it moves forward through the legal system.
5. Legal Representation:
If you have legal representation, it's recommended to consult with your lawyer to guide you through the legal procedures, provide advice on dealing with the case, and represent your interests in the legal proceedings.
6. Stay Informed:
Periodically check the UAE Public Prosecution app or other official channels for updates on the status of your case and any developments that may arise during the legal process.
As the case progresses through the legal system, it is vital to cooperate with the authorities, adhere to any legal requirements, and seek legal advice as needed.
Understanding the meaning of the case status "under-recognition" can help you navigate the legal proceedings and be prepared for what may follow in the next stages of the case.
