What can I do if I have a criminal case and travel ban against me for a traffic violation?
Q: While driving I swerved at the vehicle next to me as I was distracted by looking at Google Maps and the other driver asked me to stop by the curb. Our routes were different and the other guy took a right turn from the roundabout and I went straight. This other driver filed a police complaint and now I have a criminal case against me with a travel ban. What can be done in this situation?

Can I transfer money from my country to my bank account if RDC decided to sieze it in an enforcement case?
Q: Hi, I have a question regarding an enforcement case at RDC. I transferred money from my home country to my local bank to be able to pay for the amount that was due on me in the enforcement RDC case. This amount will arrive tomorrow. In the meantime, yesterday was decided by RDC to start an inquiry about my bank balance and to seize it if there is a balance. My question is: How much time is there between this decision to seize my bank balance and this taking effect? Is it taking a few days? I’m asking as the money I need for the payment of my dues is on the way to my local UAE account. Please advise what is the time between the court decision as above and my bank account effectively being seized. Is this a process of days? Thank you

The judge did not listen to us verbally; he simply stated that we had submitted our defense paper. We confirmed this, but I told him that the previous judge had not read our defense paper and requested that he read it this time. He scheduled a ruling date for next month. What can I do if my lawyer is not preparing me or communicating well regarding my criminal case?
Q: Good morning, I have concerns about my lawyer whom I have paid to defend me in a criminal case. Communication with them is non-existent. They simply gave me the first court date and told me to make sure I was there. They did not prepare me or give me guidance for the first hearing and did not tell me what I should do or say. The lawyer who attended court is not one I have seen up until that point. I believe he was assigned by the law firm under their POA. He simply told me to take a seat and wait for the court then he walked away. I now have an appeal coming (public prosecution appealed) and again, the law firm has not been in touch to prepare me or explain how to answer. Each time, the law firm only told me they had already prepared my defense and sent it to the court (they did not show me the defense document). Is this normal? What should I have expected for preparation before a court appearance? Thank you2025/03/12

Can the owner of a company escape if there is a cheque execution and travel ban on him?
Q: I raised a cheque execution case against a company and its owner and won. There is a travel ban on him. I was receiving installments for three months and now he stopped paying. The court after request summoned him. In total, he paid only 30% of the owed money. I found that his company license is expired and also in the month his visa will expire. Does he have any option to avoid payment? Please note he was deceived by showing no money in his bank account and no assets in his name but he is running multiple businesses. Also a month ago, he tried to convince me to lift the travel ban but I refused to do so. But he submitted a guarantee and left UAE. Now the status shows he is back in the UAE and the travel ban imposed again. But after that, he stopped payment. Is there a 1% chance of him not paying me the remaining money? Is there a way he can leave the country through the Amnesty program or any of this sort?+2

Q: I resigned from my job in Dubai and I had to travel back to my home country right after the notice period. The company asked me to sign the cancellation paper as they will need 4-5 days to pay all settlements. How to delay a eviction by court a few days to pay rent and renew contract in agreement with the landlord?
Q: I’m searching for legal advice regarding timing RDC. I have an RDC enforcement case and got the final judgment and payment deadline. I asked the landlord for 6 days extra to make the payment, which will be happening in the next few days. In the meantime, I was contacted yesterday evening by the enforcement team to ask if I had already vacated the property. My question is: 1. How many days are usually granted by the eviction team? I’m speaking about between contacting me regarding the eviction and enforcing eviction. Can they grant me a few days or how does this work? 2. Will the enforcement/eviction team take into account that I spoke to the landlord about a few more days to pay and renew the contract? 3. Will the enforcement team schedule a specific date for eviction or how is this handled? Do they just come without an appointment or do they schedule a specific time and day to come?
