Visa cancelled, salary unpaid. How to check if my UAE employer filed absconding?

Hello,

My visa has automatically been closed since I’m outside the UAE. But my company didn’t pay me the final month’s salary and settlement.

I submitted my resignation from outside the UAE, as the company suggested I take a leave instead when I resigned from there.

Now I filed a complaint through MOHRE customer service for the salary, but the response was that they couldn’t find any issue. I’m not sure how the company cancelled my visa without clearing the payment.

How can I check if they have filed an absconding case?

- A copy of your old and new passports,

- Notary Fees: USD 165 (paid directly to the notary). You will receive a digital copy of the notarized POA.

- Legal Fees for Travel Ban Check: USD 325. Once the notarized POA is received, we will check the UAE criminal record system for any criminal cases, travel bans, arrest warrants, or execution files registered against your name. This process typically takes about four working days.

Even from outside the UAE, you are legally entitled to:

- File a full labour claim for unpaid salary, end-of-service benefits, and any unlawful termination.

- Appoint a lawyer or legal representative in the UAE to follow up if needed.

If the employer filed absconding, it would be considered invalid since you resigned and were on leave with their knowledge.

If proven, absconding can be removed by MOHRE upon showing a resignation notice and correspondence.
