The lawyer I hired to handle the case did not pay attention to what I told him, causing me to lose the case. Q: We are a UK-based company that paid for a UAE agency to complete a photoshoot for us. Some time passed as we were struggling to schedule a shoot in our schedule. Can I refuse to leave the apartment after the eviction notice if the landlord shows no intention to sell?
Q: I am reposting the question as maybe I was not clear the first time. I am a tenant in an apartment in Dubai. I stayed in the apartment for a long time. I received a valid 12-month notice from the landlord to vacate the property because they want to sell it. However, 9 months have passed since and the landlord has shown no intention of selling. I asked them about it and they said they intend to renovate it first before selling it. As I do not want to move out, can I dispute this at the RDC in any way? Meaning, do I have any basis for dispute?+4

Q: We served our tenant 1-year eviction notice. All done correctly and I don’t think he will leave when he should leave in a week. I bought a property and served an eviction notice. Can the tenant refuse to leave on time?
Q: I bought my first UAE property in October in Springs for myself and my partner as a family home. The property has a tenant but a 12-month notice had been served to him to leave in February (the notice reason said for renovation). He had told the old owner and the estate agent he would be open to even leaving earlier. As soon as the sale went through, he went silent. I have messaged to ask for access to the house so I can get a building quote for the works for me to renovate once he moves out which he ignored and has ignored any attempt I have had to call him. Yesterday he filed a Rental Dispute claim against me to extend his lease for another year which is really confusing. I cannot afford to pay the mortgage for the property and live elsewhere. I only bought the house knowing a notice had been served and he was leaving so I could move in myself to start my family.2024/12/11
