My cousin has multiple penal judgments of fine and jail. How will this be calculated?
Q: My cousin is in the central jail of Al Awir since October 2024 till date 20/03/25. She has 6 different penal cases all judgements are done, last one was done yesterday. In total, she has a fine of about 135000, 1 month in jail, and deportation in 1 case. How will this be calculated moving forward? Also she has spent time in different police station detentions from 23rd May 2024 till October including 48 days or so in Ras al Khaima.

Q: Dear sir, I hope you`re doing well and receiving Ramadan blessings from Allah. A customer has been threatening me on WhatsApp. I screen-recorded the messages he deleted, but I couldn’t capture them in time. The deleted messages contained threats of beating. My question is, can I use the screen recording as evidence in court? He only deleted the threatening messages.

We won the case with the RDC to evict the tenant. What happens after waiting the cooling period?
Q: We won the case with the RDC that the tenant has to evict the property. We are told there is a cooling period before they say the date he has to leave. How long is the cooling period he can appeal and then what happens next if he appeals and if he doesn`t? He was served the one-year notice and then refused to leave, hence the case we raised with RDC and won. Thank you

Q: I`m trying to resign from my company and found out there`s incorrect information between my employment contract, my government contract, and the employee handbook. I was under the impression of having a week`s notice period but I`m being told it`s 3 months and I`m losing a month`s worth of salary. Q: Good afternoon, Ramadan Kareem! The owner of the property I’m renting has sent me an eviction notice so he can sell the property. According to the notice, I am required to leave. Can I renew my tenancy contract for three months only without any rent increase or penalties?
Q: Hi, I am a tenant living in the same apartment for the last 5 years. My tenancy contract is expiring in the month of May 2025. I want to renew my contract this time but only for 3 months until August. I communicated the same to my owner through the real estate who is handling the property. Initially, they said that it would be possible but the current market rent would apply. When I checked, I found they could not increase my rent as per the rental index and I told them this. After that, they said that they would not renew the contract for 3 months. If I want, I can renew for the entire year and then vacate when I want by paying the penalty of 2 months. In this scenario, I want to know if it is legally correct on their part to refuse to renew my contract for 3 months. Can you please guide me?+3

Q: Hello, In my current job contract, I have a 30-day notice period. I have already submitted my resignation, but I want to resign early; it’s 5 days before the end of my notice period. I requested early resignation and am willing to pay any liabilities in this matter. However, my company is saying I can`t work in the same emirate within two years at any competing similar facility, as per Labour Contract Law No. 33 of 2021.+2

Q: I filed a case against a person who took my money and the court assigned an expert but the expert ignored more real evidence and reported to the court even though I sent a comment to the expert that I did not accept it. Anyway, the court has given a decision and I won the case but for a smaller amount. My question is can I appeal this judgment to get a correction on the amount or it is better to make a civil case for the amount again?+1
