What should I expect if I am delayed in paying a debt for an online shopping company in the UAE?
Q: Hi I have a debt for an online shopping company in the UAE of around AED 2800 and they have informed me that it is a clear violation of the UAE Civil Transaction Law (5)1985. I`m trying my best to pay the amount but I want to know about this law sentence and what will happen if I get delayed in paying.

Q: Dear Lawyers, Is it mandatory to register the marriage in MOFA to live together here in the UAE? We are both Muslims from different nationalities and nikah was done in another country. 1. We both have our own visas and have no dependency on each other in terms of any legal ground. 2. We do not have any plan to have a child since we both are over 45 years old. 3. We have no requirement to register the marriage in our home country. Still, is it mandatory to register the marriage with MOFA? We appreciate your valuable input to clarify this.

Is it mandatory to wait for 30 days from the date of judgment to implement a divorce judgment?
Q: I`m a plaintiff (husband). On the 7th of Mar 2024, the first instance divorce judgment was provided based on Article 7 of federal law 41 of 2022 and based on Article 133 of civil code proceedings. The defendant (wife) was requested to pay expenses and fees. Please advise me on the following questions: Is it mandatory to wait for 30 days from the date of judgment (the waiting period will end on the 7th of Apr 2024) to implement the ruling? Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I was overdue for my tenancy contract renewal; no one contacted me, and the contract expired 2 months ago. I have been living in this apartment for 2 years, and now the owner of the apartment wants to raise the price. Can the payment terms be changed from monthly to one upfront cheque?
Q: Hi there, My lease is up for renewal and I have agreed to the 10% increase, however, my landlord now wants to change payment terms from monthly payments which I have been doing for the past 3 years, into 1 cheque upfront which I can not afford or able to do. Does the landlord have a right to do this or can I refuse the terms but accept the increase of 10%? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.+1

Q: Hi all, I lost a case because of my lawyer`s negligence. I have email evidence. How can I sue them? How do I raise a complaint against them? Will I need a lawyer to put a legal case against them or can I do it myself? I lost money on this case, and every lawyer I speak to never gives a clear answer on the fees. Is there a timeframe for a property maintenance claim after vacating the apartment?
Q: Upon vacating your apartment, can you sue your landlord for ongoing maintenance issues while you lived there? For 3 years I had ongoing maintenance issues which the building would not fix properly. Furthermore, they have now tried to deduct from my security deposit despite not fixing several issues that occurred in the past 3 years! Is there a timeframe for a maintenance claim? I would like to sue them for years of lack of maintenance which destroyed my experience while living there. Please advise. Thank you.
