Q: My rental contract ends in November 2023, but my landlord has sold the apartment. Also, she sent me a notice in November 2022 to vacate in November 2023. Can the landlord evict me from the apartment to sell then rent it for a higher price?
Q: Hello, I am a tenant in Dubai. Last year in June, I signed my first rental contract in Dubai. One bedroom 864 sqft for AED 65,000. Later this year in October, I got an eviction notice saying that I need to leave the apartment when the contract ends because the owner has the intent of selling the apartment. A few days back in March, I got a call from his agent saying that no one is interested in the apartment because the landlord wants a big price so if I want, I can renew the contract. The new price for me will be AED 76,000. I took some time to think and then called him back saying that as per RERA they cannot increase more than 5% which will be 68,250 but I am willing to pay 70,000 not to move out. A few hours after the call I got an email that they re-inform me that I have to leave in June because they want to sell the apartment. Is it legal to kick me out like that because they want a bigger price? What actions can I take if they rent it out again after I move out? أسئلة وأجوبة

If I have a travel ban in KSA, can I travel to the UAE on a work visa?
Q: Hi, May you and your family be blessed. I`m extremely tense and need your kind feedback on the following issue. If I have a travel ban in KSA, can I travel to the UAE on a work visa? I have been visiting Dubai on a tourist visa without any problems. The ban was imposed because I had to leave KSA suddenly and could not return after an exit-entry, and I was unable to pay back my car EMI and credit card payment totaling 30k SAR, which I intend to pay off gradually now. When I left KSA, they only had my fingerprints at the time. I also understand that while coming for a visit to Dubai, only a retinal scan is done. On the other hand, when obtaining a work visa, UAE takes and registers fingerprints as well. Could this lead to any issues for me? I have finally obtained a better-paying job after a long time and can finally save up to pay off my debts. The case registered for which the travel ban is imposed is only for SAR 16000. Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I am applying for Canadian immigration and require a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC). I am currently outside of the UAE and had applied online for the PCC, but it was canceled, possibly due to some active cases against me. Could you please suggest what I should do to obtain a police clearance certificate? Currently, I am not in a good financial position to pay off any fines. There are two open cases against me, which I believe total around 70k AED. Blacklisted in Dubai: How to lift the travel ban to get an employment visa?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I am currently in Dubai on a visit visa and have been searching for a job for the past eight months. Recently, I found out that a bank has filed a civil case against me due to a bounced check, which has resulted in a travel ban and blacklisting. Because of the blacklisting, I am unable to obtain an employment visa, and this is not helping both myself and the bank in terms of repaying the outstanding amount.
