If the offer letter is 90-day notice period and the MOL contract is 30 days, Which one is valid?
Hi,
I resigned recently from my job in Abu Dhabi. In my offer letter, they mentioned 90 days notice period but in my MOL contract, I signed for 30 days notice period.
So my question is can I follow my MOL contract for 30 days?
Is there any legal issue that will come?
Hello,
The offer letter you signed with your employer may state a 90-day notice period. This is a contractual obligation between you and the employer.
The MOL contract that you signed, which is the standard employment contract registered with the Ministry of Labor, stipulates a 30-day notice period.
This is typically a more standardized document and is legally recognized by the government. In the UAE, the MOL contract is considered a legally binding agreement from a regulatory standpoint.
If there is a discrepancy between the terms of the offer letter and the MOL contract, the MOL contract generally prevails in terms of your legal rights and obligations.

Dear questioner
You are required to follow the MOL, which is the official document binding the company and the Labor Laws.
So while resigning from a job, you are only required to follow the notice period of 30 days.
