س: لقد بدأت العمل في وظيفة جديدة في 22 مايو. لقد طُلب مني توثيق شهادتي، الأمر الذي نفذته عن طريق إرسال الشهادة إلى المملكة المتحدة ثم قمت بإعادتها إلى إمارة دبي ووثقتها هنا.
لقد وقعت عقد العمل الخاص بي في 14 يونيو وكنت اعتقد أنهم بدأوا في إجراءات استخراج تأشيرتي.
بعد ذلك، طُردت من العمل في 30 يونيو دون سبب وجيه وتم تعيين شخص آخر ليحل محلّي في اليوم التالي.
سؤالي هو، هل قيامهم بذلك يعد أمرًا قانونيًا؟

Legal rights of the employee for termination during probation
Q: Dear Madam,
I have an unlimited contract with the employer and I have not completed the 6-month probation period. The company gave me a termination letter without any warning letter before.
1. If I get a job in some other company, will I get a labour ban or not?
Some people told me even if you have an unlimited contract, but your company terminated you under probation period. I must have completed 1 year to avoid the ban. Please advise me, what do I do?
2. The company gave me termination letter one day before my completion of the 6-month probation period.
My question is that I joined the company on 27 August 2017 and the company gave me the termination letter on 26 February 2018, but if I count the days then it is 184 days, while 6 month means 180 days. Please advise?
3. If 184 days are considered 6 months what are my rights? Can I demand the company to pay my settlement, air tickets and half year leave salary... etc?
The HR told me that under probation, the company do not pay me any benefits like back home tickets, gratuity...etc.

حق الموظف في التراجع عن عرض العمل بعد بدء العمل
س: لقد وقعت على خطاب عرض عمل (عقد داخلي) مُقدم من صاحب عمل في إمارة أبو ظبي في 8 أكتوبر 2019 وانضممت إلى العمل في نفس اليوم.
لقد تلقيت مكالمة هاتفية من صاحب العمل في 24 أكتوبر 2019 تفيد بأنهم قاموا بفصلي عن العمل دون سبب مشروع.
وعندما طالبتهم بالحصول على راتبي المستحق، لم أتلق منهم أي رد. لقد رفضت بعض عروض العمل أثناء عملي معهم.
أريد تقديم شكوى ضدهم للحصول على راتبي المستحق بالإضافة إلى تعويض عن الخسائر التي لحقت بمسيرتي المهنية.
هل يُعد خطاب عرض العمل الداخلي صالحًا من الناحية القانونية في إمارة أبوظبي؟
يرجى ملاحظة أنه ليس لدي تصريح عمل وأنني عملت معهم منذ 8 أكتوبر 2019 وحتى 24 أكتوبر 2019.

What can I do if my company terminated me without warning while I'm on probation?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam,
My company terminated me with no written warning last April 5, and they said I need to work up until April 30 to receive my pay, but until now, they're holding it.
Can someone help me with what I can do, please? And is it right to terminate me with no warning?
I'm under probation with the company; I've been working with them for four months.

The new Unemployment Insurance Law of the UAE
The UAE government introduced the new Unemployment Insurance Law under the Federal Decree-Law No. 13 of 2022 Concerning the Unemployment Insurance Scheme for Unemployed People. Please, I need help. I had a case where someone sent money to my account. I was selling USDT, but another person used me, scammed the person, and sent money to my account.
I sent the USDT. I didn't know the person who sent the money to my account, so I gave him the USDT. Later, I was arrested for scam and using cryptocurrency without a license.
The judgment came out: to pay 900 AED, 1 month imprisonment, and deportation. Please, can I appeal not to be deported?

How to waive or reduce the penalty for my expired company license and cancel it?
Dear Lawyer
I hope this message finds you well.
I set up a business license in a free zone in 2023. Unfortunately, the license expired in September 2024, and due to being occupied with other matters, I was not aware of the penalties associated with the expiration.
I recently attempted to cancel the license but was informed that a significant penalty has accrued. When I inquired about cancelling my visa first, I was told that it’s not possible to proceed without addressing the license issue.
Could you please advise if there is any legal way to waive or reduce this penalty?
I would greatly appreciate your guidance on how to resolve this situation with minimal cost.

Respected Law Team Members, I am writing to seek genuine legal advice and guidance for our friend regarding an ongoing issue with her employer.
On 23rd May 2025, she received a termination notice via WhatsApp from her sponsor, which clearly states that she is required to complete her handover by 20th June 2025.
Since receiving the notice, however, her sponsor has been repeatedly contacting her via WhatsApp and phone calls, pressuring her to immediately return the company laptop and office cabinet keys, despite the agreed-upon handover date.
In addition, she has been verbally accusing my friend and making threatening remarks, creating a hostile environment, and causing her emotional distress.
To clarify her legal position, she contacted MOHRE, who advised her to reshare the termination notice to the lady employer about the handover date (20th June 2025) as she outlined in the (Cont-1)

My previous employer filed a case against me for embezzlement and imposed a travel ban. I know for myself it was all a lie, but since the case is already filed and the police investigation is still ongoing, I need to find a job.

Our system doesn't allow us to issue an invoice unless the goods exist in our inventory. We also require this advance or down payment as confirmation of his order.
My customer is insisting on issuing him an invoice and says that this is required by UAE laws.

How can my kids learn about their father's condition without contacting his family?
Good morning,
I have two kids. Their father is in critical care and is not able to communicate, and we have been divorced for more than seven years.
The other side of the family is not communicating with the kids about the father's whereabouts for them to visit him, and they have not been in touch with the kids for the past two weeks due to family issues that took place in court regarding guardianship of the kids.
How can I find a way for our kids to know what is going on with their father and his condition without reaching out to them, to avoid any further escalation?
My daughter has tried to call them, but there was no response.

I received a termination letter from my company for restructuring. Is this considered arbitrary dismissal?
I received a termination letter from my company on January 31st, 2025, with a one-month notice period, stating my last working day as February 28th, 2025.
The reason given for the termination is "considering the current business scenario, the company has considered measures to reorganize the business."

Do I need to hire a lawyer if I found I have a marital case against me in the court?
By checking in Al Adheed, I have found there is a marital matter case against me in Dubai Courts. There is a hearing date for next week and the time mentioned in the case status with a link for an online hearing.
However, I have not received any message from Dubai courts regarding this by mail or phone. I have all contact details updated with EID. In this case, what should I do?
I don’t know what the case is about.
