س: إنني أعمل في المنطقة الحرة بجبل علي بموجب عقد عمل محدد المدة.
وفقًا لخطاب عرض العمل الخاص بي، يجب أن أقضي فترة إشعار مدتها 60 يومًا وأن أدفع 45 يومًا من الراتب الأساسي. لكنني علمت أن صاحب العمل يتقاضى 45 يومًا من الراتب الإجمالي بعد قضاء فترة الإشعار كاملة.
أريد فقط الأطمئنان، هل من القانوني طلب 45 يومًا من الراتب الإجمالي في حالة قضاء فترة الإشعار بالكامل؟

أريد الاستقالة لكن الشركة تطلب مني دفع راتب 45 يومًا حيث أنني أعمل بموجب عقد عمل محدد المدة.
أود الاستفسار عن سبب دفع الموظف راتب 45 يومًا إذا كانت الاستقالة بسبب عدم دفع راتب الأشهر الثلاثة الماضية.

أنا أعمل حاليًا لصالح شركة خاصة في أبوظبي. عقدي هو عقد محدد المدة وأكملت 10 أشهر من الخدمة في هذه الشركة.
لا تعجبني هذه الشركة، كيف يمكنني إلغاء تأشيرتي بشكل قانوني؟ وكم سأدفع لشركتي؟
راتبي الأساسي هو 500 درهم وبدل العمل الإضافي 350 درهم، فما المبلغ الإجمالي الذي سأدفعه لعملية إلغاء التأشيرة؟

I am new in the UAE and I need your help to answer all these questions that I've been trying to solve.
I am under a limited contract for 3 years in the Production City Free Zone, However, If I will resign after probation (let's say after 8 months to 1 year) will I still pay my current employer?

أنا على تأشيرة عقد محدد المدة في أبو ظبي. لا يزال لدي شهرين متبقيين في عقدي، لكنني أبلغت صاحب العمل رسميًا أنني أستقيل.
أنا أعمل حاليًا في فترة الإشعار التي تبلغ 30 يومًا وفقًا للعقد. لا يزال لدي 10 أيام متبقية لإكمال فترة الإشعار.

Q: Regarding the probation period, when is the deadline for an employer to terminate me if the DOJ anniversary is Friday 2nd Feb?
Will the six-month period end at midnight on the 1st, therefore completing six months, or can the employer still terminate on the 2nd?

Hi,
I wanted to purchase a 2-bedroom apartment in JVC Dubai. I gave a 10% security deposit cheque to the seller. The price mentioned in the MoU is very high compared to other similar apartments in the same building.
The bank’s valuation also came in very low. Since the valuation is much lower, how can I terminate the MoU and get my cheque back? The MoU ends on 1st October 2024.
One of the articles in the MoU states:
In the event that the Buyer fails to make the payments as agreed or fails to complete the transfer on the agreed date due to his own acts or omissions, the Seller has the right to terminate this agreement and retain the deposit, provided that the termination is due to a violation of the agreed terms, unless both parties agree amicably to different dates.
I need help urgently.

Dear Lawyers,
I signed a Form F with a buyer for the sale of my house as we were planning to leave the country. The contract was signed about a month ago, but the handover is not until August.
Due to personal circumstances changing, we are no longer leaving Dubai and would like to cancel Form F.
The Form F contract stipulates that we have to pay the buyer 10% of the purchase value. The real estate agent is now claiming that we also have to pay the buyer's real estate commission and the conveyancing fee.
Our understanding is that the 10% penalty is the only penalty. Which is correct, and what are the next steps to dispute this?
Also, is there any way to dispute the 10% itself under the law due to personal circumstances changing?

Tenant always late with payments, hasn't renewed contract. What to do? 2
Hello,
I have a tenant who is always late with their payment. Their renewal was supposed to be last December 2023.
Currently, they have not signed any new contract, provided any new cheques, and have stayed for three months from December until now without paying rent.
Additionally, I just discovered that they have sublet the apartment with partitions, which is clearly stated as not allowed in the old contract.
Please let me know what should I do legally!

We sent a renewal notice to our Dubai-based tenant 84 days before his contract renewal, with a 10% increase in rent.
The tenant neither agreed nor disagreed with the proposed rent and replied on the day of renewal that he wouldn't be paying the proposed rent.
Due to the argument, the landlord decided to reduce the rent, but the tenant has not yet renewed his contract. It has been 12 days since his contract expired.
Kindly suggest what could be done in this matter.

I visited a salon for a colouring treatment, during which two rounds of bleach, which is not what I booked in for, were given to me without proper approvals, and were applied back-to-back without a strand test or proper consultation.
As a result, I’ve been experiencing extreme hair breakage, daily hair loss, and ongoing scalp irritation. This has been especially distressing as I’m currently pregnant.
It’s now been over 20 days since the incident, and despite multiple polite follow-ups, the salon has ignored all communication.
I’m now exploring legal action to pursue compensation for the physical and emotional distress caused. I have full documentation, messages, and photos.

What can I do if the landlord has not been responding to renew the commercial lease contract and Ejari? 0
Good day.
For the last 3 years, the landlord's office has not responded to renew the contract, so I contacted RERA for renewal.
The office doesn't respond to emails related to renewal, even though I started sending emails and reminders 2 to 3 months before expiry, and I have no choice but to contact RERA and send a notice.
Once the renewal was processed by law, the landlord's office delayed in releasing the Ejari. Since it is a commercial property, my renewals are related to a staff visa, and I have to pay delay penalties.
The landlord's office staff tried to take advantage of the Emirati owner, and no direct meeting was fruitful.
What is the law that safeguards expats and sorts out issues without mutual compromise as they try to force their terms to be acceptable by law and not supported by any documentation?
