The significance of non-competition clause in employment contracts

The non-competition clause:

(1) Must be clearly mentioned in your contract (Article 127 of the UAE Labour law)

(2) Along with the period of non-competition, and

(3) Territory (Article 909 and article 910 of the UAE Civil Code).

And if all is done, the employer has to prove his loss UNLESS a specific amount of compensation is mentioned.

If no amount is mentioned let him prove his loss, which will be difficult.
