Can the employer force me to take my annual leave during the notice period?

Article 79 of the UAE labour law states that if the employment is terminated, or they left their work AFTER the period of notice determined by law the employee is entitled to receive wages for the annual leave that they have not taken. Payment will be calculated on the basis of the wages they received at the time when the leave was due.

You must serve the notice period, failing which the employer will use the UAE labour law (article 119) where you will be liable to compensate your employer for the number of days not completed for the notice period.
