Can the landlord file a complaint against me for delay in paying rent without EJARI?

Q: Hi! I have been living in a rented house which I haven`t signed an agreement with for almost three months. But due to some issues with my work, I had to hand over my resignation and now I am waiting for the payment from my work to pay the rent which is due on the 3rd of the month. My landlord keeps threatening that he will file a case against me and hand over my copy of emirates ID which I send him as he asked to prepare the agreement (but I haven`t signed any document). The rental amount is AED 1000. Can he file a complaint against me and go to the police? Also, one of the police officers keeps sending me WhatsApp messages regarding the payment which I haven`t even opened to read.

Harassment by the employer after filing a case for holding salaries

Q: I am working in a security company. They haven`t given me a job for a long time. They want to take my passport by force, which is against Dubai rules. They are not sending me on duty for a long time. Also, they didn’t settle my accounts and gave me a cancellation. Q: Hi, I got a case registered last May 2021 because of a loan from a financial institution. I just recently found out that I have a case because my mobile number registered on my EID is wrong. I came to the police station to settle it. I did not pay any fine but the police asked me to come back after 2 weeks. I`ve checked my case status on the Dubai police app and my case was removed. I am just wondering why the officer told me to come back? My loan is less than 30k. Am I going to pay the fine even though they removed the case on the app already?

What can I do if the law firm I hired took more than the agreed fees upon judgment?

Q: I had a civil compensation case (road accident) with a law firm in Abu Dhabi in 2017. During the initial stage, they had sent an advocate fee agreement mentioning 15% of the collected money from the court by email, I have signed and sent it to them by courier. But, they failed to provide a signed copy to me and I also forgot to get the same due to my work pressure at that time. The court judgment and compensation money also came to the lawyer`s account, and now my lawyer is asking for 20% advocate fees. I did not agree with the same. After a few days of this conversation, they verbally agreed to 15% fees and requested to send account details, and I sent my account details. They transferred money after deducting 20% advocate fees, I have sent many emails to release my remaining amount based on the 15% calculation, but they are not replying or responding to my emails. Currently, I am in India due to losing my job during the COVID situation. Please advise how to get my remaining money from them.

Q: I wish to file for divorce from my wife. We are both non-Muslim, UK nationals living in Abu Dhabi. We have 3 children (12, 9, and 8). Q: Hi, I have a concern. We have signed a contract with a seller, but it`s not an F contract. We signed an MOU, which is an A contract, and the seller has signed the same, which is a B (this comes from the real estate agency). The new landlord asks the tenant to pay for a new Empower registration that exists already

Q: I am a tenant in Discovery Garden and my landlord registered the Empower in his name and took AED 2000 for registration. Now he has sold the flat and not returning the Empower registration amount. The new owner was not aware of this and when he came to know he registered the same and asked me to register as a tenant plus pay AED 2000, while the due date to register the amount is passed. I told him I will not pay another AED 2000 until I get the same from the previous owner. Now I am stuck between the new owner and the old one.
