Do I have to pay a penalty if terminated after completing my contract period?

Q: Sir, As per my contract period, they mentioned that if I leave the company before 1 year, I have to pay 5000 dirhams. But I have already completed more than 1 year and 3 months. The company has given me a warning letter saying my work performance is low, and if I continue like this, they will terminate me. They didn`t mention any charges, but they mentioned in the letter a top penalty procedure. So I need to know whether I have to pay them any charges or not.
