Gazumping

Occurs when a seller (usually of property) accepts a verbal offer on his/her property from one potential buyer, but then accepts a higher offer from someone else. It can also refer to the seller raising the selling price or asking for more money at the last minute, after previously verbally agreeing to a lower one. Some jurisdictions have passed legislation making offers on real property binding at an early stage during the process of buying a property.

An ex-employer asks for the new visa copy of an employee. What to do?

Q: Hello Sir, I was fired on JAN 20 2020 on the second day of arrival from vacation. They gave me 2 months of grace time to use the same visa to look for a job and also to settle my dues. By April, they canceled my Freezone visa. I didn`t get any job till Dec 2020 because the pandemic started, so I stayed and was looking for a job. Almost after a year, I got a job; the whole year I was jobless. Almost a year and half later, my old Pro is threatening me if I didn`t submit my new visa copy, they are going to file an absconding case on me. I`m totally confused! How it even possible after a year and half they want my visa for some refund or to file a case against me? Please advise on this! I`m totally frustrated!

What can the wife do if the husband refuses to divorce and accept custody?

Q: Hi I have applied for divorce in India against my husband. For the past 12 yrs, I have suffered a lot mentally and I took this decision to get separated. I work in Sharjah and I can take care of my 10 yrs old son. My husband drinks, abuses me, doubts me and behaves very bad, even after I have warned him many times I will take a divorce. He used to tell me always to go out of his house. Now I have told him a case has been registered and he will get a notice from India. Suddenly his behaviour is changed and he is saying he will not divorce and he won`t give my son to me. India lawyer told me that as he is a minor he has to be with me only. I am planning to live separately. Kindly advise me, can I go to a local police station and get a notice to leave my son to live with me peacefully? Even my son has suffered a lot. Kindly advise me.
