Q: Hey, I`m working in a call center job. The employer found a case of ignoring calls. I have no warning letter before, and now they terminated me immediately without any warning. Is this legal?

Q: My sister lives in Dubai. Her husband was convicted of murder and served time in jail for murdering their maid. Yesterday, he tried to suffocate and kill my sister. She went to the police station and a hospital. He changed the locks on the door so that my sister can`t come back home and be with her children. He`s also taken her passport and ID. She`s in fear for her children. She`s also in great fear of her life. She believes that if she goes back to him, he will kill her like he killed their maid. She wants to go back to her family in Morocco and wants to bring her children with her so that they will be safe. Would she be able to go to Morocco with her children? The law of Dubai protects women and children from abuse, and as such, the children should not be left with a convicted murderer and should be returned to their mother. My sister should have the right to go back to her mother and father, to the safety of her family, with her children so that they can all finally be safe. Please help!

How can I prove that my cheques have been misused with a forged signature?

Q: Hi! My cousin has used my name and cheques in order to acquire a flat in Dubai. I haven’t signed any document in person so I guess my signature has been forged (I have given her my cheques though). In 2017, my cheques have bounced and she assured me that she was taking care of everything. However, in the last quarter of 2017, I found out that I already have a police case. I went to the police station and paid for a fine however, I was told that the case has already been submitted to the RDC. Is there a way to lift my travel ban without paying the amount in full (AED 26,000)? I have been trying to reach my cousin for years but she abandoned me and blocked me on all social media sites. I am really struggling and haven’t traveled back home for almost 5 years now. Hope you can help me. Thank you.

Entering the UAE with an on-arrival visa after canceling a residency visa

Q: Hello, I really need help getting an accurate answer to this simple question because I keep getting different opinions! My dad had an investor visa in Dubai/UAE. His investor visa EXPIRED last year. His lawyer completed an official cancelation after the expiry. My dad had sponsored me under his visa (I had a residency visa; NOT a work visa). I was out of Dubai when our visas expired. Since my dad has done an official cancelation on his visa after expiry, do I need to do anything on my end? Can I now enter the UAE with an on-arrival visa as a Canadian citizen or do I need to take an additional step before entering? And If so, do you guys offer services to help me with that? Thank you!

How to settle bank loans and avoid cases after losing your job?

Q: My sister lost her job a few years ago, due to that she suffered a head stroke, resulting in defaulting of payments of her loans to two banks (approximately combined value of 120000 dirhams). She has a case against her (bounced cheques approximately 44000 dirhams) for house rent. She is stuck in the UAE, overstaying illegally and can`t travel. She doesn`t know what to do, living in fear from the cases against her and can`t find a job to try to solve the legal issues. Please she needs help and advice to ease her suffering and solve her legal situation to live without fear knowing that the amounts due are overwhelming and can`t be paid at once by her. Is there any solution other than negotiating with the banks and the debtors who insist on her paying the full amounts in one shot to lift the legal cases and the travel ban against her?
