Negotiating credit card outstandings with the bank
Q: Hi, I lost my job a year ago and I have an outstanding credit card of AED 300k. I`ve missed the last 9 monthly payments (I am negotiating directly with the bank). I am willing to settle the credit card with one lump sum payment that a friend will lend me. How much discount on the balance of AED 300k can I negotiate to settle the matter? Should I also ask for a clearance/ no liability letter?

Arbitrary termination and rights of the employee
Q: 1) Since the company is a semi-government entity based in Abu Dhabi, can I challenge the unfair spot termination decision and get 3 months salary (per month salary was AED 7000) and other benefits? 2) Can I claim all my living costs (house rent, bills, car rental, food, telephone, travel/ fuel etc) after notice period finished date i.e. 26 April 2017 as per termination letter (21 days till 17 May 2017 and could end up more weeks)? 3) The termination letter was handed over on 29 March 2017 and last working day was same day but as per termination letter my last working day would be considered as 26 April (that is a difference of 3 days unpaid?) 4) As per my clear instructions to my team to report all necessary matters but in this case, everyone failed to report me and even many Rental Agents kept on renting this vehicle with a low tire pressure sign on the dashboard. 5) Shall I approach the labour court in Abu Dhabi or civil court considering my visa from immigration?

Is it a crime to put wrong information in a salary certificate?
Q: My whole salary including allowances in my contract is 4800 AED, my employer provided me with a salary certificate that states that my salary is 6000 AED. Is that fraud? And if so, to whom should I report this? And what is going to happen to the employer? Q: Good Morning! I`m writing to you in hopes of any help you can give me. I`m a single mom and sole provider of my family back home. Last Feb 15, 2017 I was terminated. Now, my former employer is blackmailing me for them not to pay me any of my end of service benefits. Consumer protection and the concept of "cooling period"
Q: Is there a law regarding a "cooling period" on an item purchased? We had a problem with a company distributing vacuum cleaners in Sharjah, we have returned the item to them as we felt like being pressured to buy without giving us time to think before buying, and their contract states that I have to pay 4,000 Dirhams as a cancellation if I return the item within 3 days. Obtaining residence visa as a property owner in the UAE
Q: Good morning, I am looking to possibly hire a lawyer for a number of tasks. I live in Saudi Arabia but my husband wants to give me POA for his apartment in Dubai as we need to complete registration papers for same. Also, we need to draw up wills to pass on our properties in Dubai to our kids.
