Filing a case for defamation by the ex-employer
Q: My ex-employer put a criminal case on me and I was in custody for 3 days, and finally, the prosecutor closed my case saying there`s lack of evidence. Now, this employer is taking my case as a reference to spoil my reputation in the market. She is going to all clients telling them I am a criminal and not to talk to me and work with me. She did this when my case was open and even now she continued to do same. I am very disturbed and no one is ready to give me a job because of this. I have proof that she sent emails stating I am a criminal. I want to file a case against her, can I do this as per the UAE law?

س: السلام عليكم أخ أحمد أنا مواطن أردني، قدمت شكوى في المحافظة بحق جار لي يبني بيته على حد الصفر ويفتح نوافذ تكشف بيتي. وبعد تحويلي للبلدية والكشف تبين أنه مخالف لأحكام البناء والتنظيم. ولكن اقتصرت إجراءات المحافظة على توقيع المشتكى عليه على تعهد فقط بتصويب الوضع. ماذا أفعل وكيف ألزم المشتكى عليه بإغلاق النوافذ؟ لك كل الشكر والتقدير

Business investment pursuant to a POA from the owner
Q: Hi, I am working in a private company as an engineer, I want to take a cafeteria on lease agreement from the owner. The owner will make a special power of attorney in my name for 2 years for running the cafeteria. Also, he will provide me with the bank account, atm, online username...etc. My question is: 1. Do I require NOC from my company to make POA? 2. Can I access the bank account if the owner grants me the POA although my name is not in the trade license? 3. After the POA, can I be a signing authority in the bank?

The consequences of missing credit card payments
Q: I have four credit cards; ADCB-2, HSBC-1 and FGB-1 and loan. ADCB credit card and loan I`m paying without any delay, but HSBC & FGB I paid last month after collection dept calls. My question is, next month I`m going on vacation. So will someone stop me at the airport immigration? Again, I want to say that. The beginning of this month, I applied for a top-up loan to close all my credit card outstanding. Today I received a call from ADCB that my application is declined. Translation of bank statements into Arabic before filing a case
Q: Rajasree hello! We want to file a case against X related to a bank issue in Ajman. We are submitting the relevant proof/documents like memorandum, emails...etc. They will be translated into Arabic, legal translation. The case also involves bank statements that show that we paid as proof. My question: Do we need to do the legal translation of all 24 pages of bank statements in Arabic? Q: Hi, I need to know the legal consequences of sending intimate (like true lovers) Whatsapp messages to a married woman. Here is the situation. X (husband) and Y (wife) are a couple and they are based in Canada. However, Y is getting separated from X and seeking a divorce.
