The risks of issuing post-dated rent cheques
Hi,
When signing the tenancy agreements, is it wise to give post-dated cheques for the quarterly payments in advance?
Because from what I gather, when you issue a cheque you are bound to honour it although the contract is not fulfilled at a later part.
Please advise.
Thank you.

Dear Questioner,
Thanks for contacting.
Usually tenants here in the UAE issue post-dated cheques towards future rent.
Even if at a later stage you don't want to proceed with the tenancy you can go for the termination of tenancy and return of cheques based on the termination clause and return of cheques as per the tenancy contract provides.
If you need further clarification, kindly contact us.
