How to establish a home accessories company in the UAE?

Q: Hello Mohammad, How are you? I would like to inquire if you can help us with the following: I am a co-founder of a company, a rapidly growing e-commerce startup selling Turkish home accessories to consumers in the Gulf. Until now, we`ve only had a registered company in Turkey, but we are intending to also establish a formal entity in the UAE to serve as our legal and financial center ASAP. As such, we are looking for some advice on which legal structure/company type would be best for us going forward. The main considerations here are: - GCC regulations. - Future valuation/fundraising/selling of the company. Last week Aug 3, 2021, I was terminated (well I am not sure if I was terminated, because my visa expired on May 10, 2021, and the employer did not renew it). They asked me not to come to work anymore. On top of that, the employer did not pay June and July salaries (technically I worked with them till Aug 3, 2021). Now, my employer is refusing to pay me any of my end-of-service benefits. I have not received any end-of-service benefits and they are not being cooperative. I am begging for any help you can extend. How can an employee execute a labor case judgment?

Q: Hi, My ex-employer (DMCC company) refused to pay my salary and end of service which led to me file a court case against them. I won the case in the 1st court and appeals court which led me to go ahead with the execution. I have managed to get their trade license blocked however they are still functioning. As they do not have a name board, I was told by Al Adheed that I cannot put the request to the court to seal their office. Finally, I went ahead with the manager arrest request, which got rejected. I’m not sure why this happened as I won the case! Could you kindly let me know what I can do from here?

The consequences of resignation during the probation period

Q: I joined a hospital as an office staff a month ago and have been working for one month. Now I am under a probation period which is for 6 months. I am on a husband`s visa and did not take any facilities such as medical insurance, accommodation, or visa. I am not comfortable with the work atmosphere and would like to resign from there. What will be the financial and legal consequences? I heard they normally charge 45 days salary and a ban is imposed even under probation period. What should I do to terminate the contract?

Q: My friend was working in a Hamriyah Free Zone company for two years. His contract expiry date is 13th Aug 2021. He has requested not to renew his contract further as his company has not paid his salary for 8 months.

Can I re-open criminal and civil cases for fraud after withdrawing them?

Q: I filed criminal charges of fraud against a Dubai resident in 2018 through a UK debt collector. The debt collector told me the criminal case had not been accepted, and so did the defendant. The debt collector may have filed a civil case. The defendant promised to pay me back and pressured me into withdrawing the civil case. I agreed and signed a waiver to withdraw the civil case. He sent me the waiver to get notarized. I live in the UK. However, I now suspect that the criminal case may have actually been accepted after all (without my knowing) and that the defendant tricked me into waiving my criminal and civil rights so that the court would be lenient. What can I do now? I would never have signed the waiver had I known the criminal case had been accepted. I presume I cannot file the same charges again? I have evidence in whatsapp chat of him saying there was no criminal case accepted.
