Asking an employee to resign. What should he do?

Q: Dear sir/madam, I have a question. My company has asked me to resign or I get terminated. I told them that I will resign once I find a job. After one month today, they showed me a termination letter. Now they want my sign. I told them I will sign after deep consideration. In this scenario, what do I have to do?

The tenant is unreachable upon tenancy contract expiry. What to do?

Q: Hi Legal teams, I need your advice on my case. I am a landlord and my tenancy contract with the current tenant expired today (28th Feb’22). Since Dec 21, we were discussing the renewal over WhatsApp and the tenant was assuring us to renew the contract. However, from last week, the tenant is neither reachable over phone nor email. He is not even replying to our renewal requests. Now, I have a tenant living in my property without an active contract. What could be our best course of action in this case? تسوية قرض بنكي وتأجيل قرار الحبس

س: السلام عليكم، عليّ قرض شخصي عند بنك، وعندما أخذت القرض كنت قادرًا على السداد وداومت السداد قرابة سنة ولكن حدثت عندي ظروف وكنت بلا عمل لمدة سنة ونصف تقريبًا وبعدها سافرت إلى السعودية لحصولي على عمل. الآن البنك رفع علي قضية وأرغب في عمل تسوية ولكنني الآن غير قادر أبدًا. أحتاج فترة ٦ أشهر لتوفير الربع القانوني. كيف أستطيع تأجيل قرار الحبس أو إقناع البنك أن يصبر علي ٦ أشهر؟ مع العلم أن القضية جديدة ولم يتم تحديد سوى جلسة واحدة حتى الآن. أرغب في السداد ولكني أحتاج لوقت بالإضافة إلى أنني أرغب أن تكون الأقساط مُيسّرة.

How can a UAE company employee based in Bahrain claim labor dues upon termination?

Q: I was employed by a Dubai-based company in Oct 2019 for Bahrain operations, having a residence permit in Bahrain. My appointment letter and agreement states that all the end-of-service benefits will be applicable as per the UAE labor law. I was terminated in December after being employed for 2 yrs plus. The employer has not settled my December salary and 2 years of the end of service benefits. Also, advise if I am entitled to receive 3 months of salary as per the UAE labor law. Any additional compensation for not settling the dues up till now. Thank you F. H.
