Traveling to home country after joining a new company with a visa in process
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I have an offer from another company in Dubai. I currently work for a Free Zone Company in Dubai, and I joined last year on a 2-year visa. I will be moving with 1 year still left on my visa. I have already informed my new company that I want to travel to my home country after 2 weeks of joining, and they have allowed me to do so. However, I am worried that if my current employer does not cancel my visa on time and my new company is not able to process my visa in the meantime, I will not be able to come back to the UAE. Can I show that my visa is in process at immigration, or should I go on without worrying, as both employers should deal with it? Please help!

What can my company do with me if the client penalized us for a mistake we made?
Q: Hi, I am working as a mechanical engineer in a firefighting company in Abu Dhabi. I am in charge of and representing one of our sites and I am working inside the site. Due to our mistake during maintenance, we created a fire alarm which results in the evacuation of around 450 persons for 20 minutes. Due to this issue, our client charged a penalty of around 40000 Dhs to our company. Hence I need to know what actions can my company take against me. Landlord served me eviction notice after I renewed lease. What are my rights?
Q: Hello, I recently renewed my rental contract at the end of May, but I was served an eviction notice today (June). The reason given was that the property is being sold, but I believe that the landlord wants to rent it at a higher price. He refused to abide by the RERA index, so I had to keep renegotiating for a fair rate. When I first moved in, the apartment had a previous owner who sold the unit to the current landlord, but the landlord did not evict me.
