Actions by the bank to force the payment of credit card dues
Q: I have a FAB credit card, they are asking me to pay an amount of AED 1150 within today or else they will send a legal notice to the HR, CEO and owner of my newly joined company. Can they do that? Also, can I hire a CA to check how much I actually owe them and how much I have actually paid for interests and fines and late payment fees? Your prompt response would be highly appreciated.

Visa cancellation as a partner and obtaining a new employment
Q: Hi. Could I please get some advice on the following: I own a company in the UAE, It is an LLC. I am a partner and I have a local partner holding 51%. We have a separate contract that gives me all ownership. I am sponsored through my company. I would like to cancel my work visa with my own company and be sponsored by another company to work for them. My company is run and managed by employees. My question is, am I able to cancel my working visa, be employed by another company but retain ownership of my own business? I will not be taking a salary from my business. Any help regarding this matter would be appreciated. Thank you.

Rights of the employee upon termination without a valid reason
Q: Sir, What are my rights (terminal benefits) when terminated from employment as the company does not require my service? There are no negative records in my service period and the company is now trying to reduce the cost as they have fewer jobs than expected. I have worked for 2 years and 4 months (stamped second visa). How will it be if termination with immediate effect and/or immediate termination with the salary in lieu of one-month notice?

Criminal investigation in the UAE for misappropriation of funds
Q: We are 2 Indian citizens - used to work in Afghanistan. We were involved in a misappropriation of funds of our office in Afghanistan. The company we work for is a joint venture in Kabul with some local partners, but in Dubai, it is a big set up. We were called to Dubai on a false ground of meeting but it was actually for investigation. We returned some money to the company but there is still an amount due, which we do not have. Forcing visa cancellation before payment of entitlements
Q: Last April 19, 2018, the company that I am working with issued a demobilization letter terminating my services due to the projects being at their finality. I accepted the letter and prepared everything for my departure after 30 days. They asked me to sign the cancellation of visa letter but I refused because I want my final settlement first. I was supposed to leave on May 19, 2018, but still, the final payment was not yet given. So, I stayed until my visa expired last June 10, 2018. I asked them several times about my final payment but they kept on saying there were no funds available. On June 24, 2018, our HR head called me and asked me to sign my visa cancellation and told me that in 2 to 3 days they will give my final payment. I signed the visa cancellation since my visa was already expired that time anyways. To make the story short, up until now they have not paid my final payment and I am still here working in my company without a visa and medical insurance. I will stay until they pay me.Sep 29, 2018

Q: I am working in a free zone company in Dubai, they haven`t paid me for past 2.5 months. Now, I have got another job but I fear they won`t be paying my pending payment and end of service settlement before my visa cancellation.
