Liability of the son for unpaid rent by the father
A friend works in Dubai. Their father left the country a few years ago with rent in arrears.
They have their own rental property unrelated to the father's property or landlord.
Is my friend still liable for this rent if the landlord contacts them?
What are their options to stop the landlord from contacting them?

Regarding your query, the liability arose due to tenancy contract with a father is his personal liability.
Since the current tenancy is no way associated with the previous one with the father, the former landlord cannot claim the previous amount from the son.
