End of service benefits at the end of a limited labour contract

Good day Madam/Sir

My contract will be finished in March and I have no plan to renew again. I just want to ask if I'm covered to receive a gratuity pay from my employer.

Actually, this is my 2nd contract with them and I already have 5 years working with my employer.

What if my employer did not give my gratuity pay after I finish my contract? What should I do next?

Thank you

Dear Questioner,

Good afternoon.

Thank you for contacting online.

Since you are working with this current employer for the last five years, you're entitled to get all the end of service benefits provided as per the UAE Labour Law.

If the employer failed to provide you with the end of service benefits like gratuity for these years, you can approach the Ministry of Labour to claim it.

And if not settled at the Ministry, the matter will be decided by the Labour Court.

Please feel free to contact me on 0556635526 or WhatsApp me on 0508575526 or at ar@alnassaradvocates.com if you need any further explanation or clarification in this.

Regards,

Anitha Rajeev
