Resigning before completing 6 months to take another offer
Q: Dear Mohammed Beakheet, Hope you are doing great. I`m employed in SAIF Free Zone on an unlimited contract for nearly 5 months with a salary of AED 20,000+. Now I have a job offer from a Dubai mainland company with a better salary. Can I resign from this company and take the new job without attracting any ban (MOL or employment ban)? Or I have to wait until I complete 6 months and then resign to avoid the ban?

Q: Hi Mr Hari Wadhwana. Greetings. My Name is S. I want to ask a query about my brother`s visit visa. My brother came in 2007 from India on a visit visa but he did work without employment visa. After that, he left to India as per the UAE Law which is announced by the UAE Govt. The law gives a limited time to leave the UAE for whoever worked without an employment visa. My brother also left the UAE in time without delay as per the UAE Law. In the airport, they stamped as a 1-year ban on his passport. So again I am trying to apply to a visit visa after 12 years. I want to know if he can come back on a visit or not. Please advise me

Claiming passport from the employer after labour card cancellation
Q: Dear Madam, How can I get my passport from my employer? My employer has filed a case against me for misappropriation of company money in Sharjah Police Station. When I went to my employer to claim for my passport to deposit in the police, he refused to give my passport and I deposited my wife`s passport and faced the inquiry officer and they released me. How can I get my passport from the employer and deposit the same with the police station so that my wife can get back her passport? My labour card and insurance card are already cancelled by my employer since last 2 months before filing the case against me. My legal status is still valid, as my immigration has not been cancelled yet and my family is under my sponsorship. Please advise. Regards

The procedure of settling a criminal case to return to Dubai
Q: I have a police complaint filed against me. I`m out of the country. Somebody contracted me to process Europe Citizenship for him and his family. However, I left the country during the process and couldn`t return due to circumstances beyond my control. Now, I want to come back to Dubai to continue my business. I have tried everything possible to sort the issue out with the complainant but he is refusing to accept negotiations with me. Now, I want to come back to Dubai with his amount of AED 30.000 in hands. As I will be arrested at the airport, will I be discharged immediately if I pay the money to the police or I will serve a jail term? The case has not been transferred yet to the public prosecution.

Right of the husband to stop his wife from travelling abroad
Q: Hi, I need your help, please. My wife wants to travel abroad for studies but we are not financially able to cover the studies and accommodation cost. I don’t want her to go for the studies and I want to stop her.
