Termination for redundancy and reduction of the last salary
Q: I have been working in a private company since September 2006. Recently they made my position redundant, I am now serving my notice period of three months. I have accrued leave balance so the company forced me to go on leave in order to reduce no of days of leave, I accepted it to adjust my leave days balance against my notice period. Further, based on the current climate amid Covid 19, can my employer further force me to accept a reduction in salary in the last month of my notice period? How will this impact my end of service benefits?

س: مساء الخير، أخي العزيز، أنا مالك شقة، تُوفِّي المستأجر منذ ٣٠ سنة وترك زوجته و٣ أطفال. بمرور السنين، كبر الأطفال وتزوجوا خارج الشقة وعاشت الزوجة بالشقة بمفردها، ثم ماتت، فجاء أحد الأبناء إلى الشقة للإقامة بها. ملحوظة: أحد الأبناء على استعداد أن يشهد معي أن أخوه لم يكن مقيمًا مع والدته قبل الوفاة. شكرًا لكم!

Salary deduction during COVID-19 pandemic while the company is not affected
Q: Good day, Our company plans to deduct 20% of our salaries since COVID-19 affected the market. We are in the shipping industry. We are still performing very well and the revenue is not affected. The company insists to deduct our salaries because its international entity is not working very well in other regions. Is this supported by the labor law of the UAE? Please advise!

Procedures for the execution of a labor court judgment
Q: I won a case. My final judgement came on 2 march and my employer has to pay me 20000. The judgement came in the absence of the employer and I filed the notification case on 19 March to notify the judgement of the court. But now, I am still waiting for filing the execution and after every 2 days, Alhadeed says me come after 2 days. I don`t know why they are doing this. I want to close this matter as soon as possible. Delaying work permit issuance and the responsibility for overstay fines
Q: I have resigned from “A” after receipt of a job offer from “B”. Then, I kept my family visa on hold and asked "A" to cancel my visa almost 1 week before my last working day. I submitted my visa cancellation paper along with a singed MOI contract to “B”. Now "B" is not responding well and asks me to stay with “A” because of the present COVID 19 lockdown situation. After wasting lots of time, B confirmed that they have applied for a work permit, however, I haven’t received any official confirmation from B`s HR. I have checked online on MOHRE website and it shows pre-approval for a work permit. If "B" will not be responding, should I need to worry about my job and visa status? In case "B" will not be responding, do I need to leave the UAE before my visa expiry date. i.e 30 days after visa cancellation? If I stay in the country and join "B" someday, who must pay the overstay fine; B or I? If "B" did not recruit me, then do I have the right to take legal action and ask for compensation towards damage?
