Who should cover the costs of visa renewal upon changing company license?
Q: Hello, My company recently decided to change its license from DMCC to LLC. As such, with our visa renewals, we are now all applying for NEW visas. For me, this is fine, however, my colleagues sponsor their wives and children and now have to pay for the visas to be put on hold/canceled whilst the new visa is applied for. Is the company responsible for these costs due to their choice to change the legality of the license, or does the employee have to pay these costs, despite it not being in their knowledge that the trade license would change?

How to claim labor rights after resignation for deducting salaries without consent?
Q: I want to ask you. I am working in a private hospital for the last 13 years and my salary is 7712. In 2021, I worked March & April (salary not received for both months). After that, in May, my company told us about salary deduction from March to May. They told us it`s only retention and they will return it to us. They made a contract and took signatures. After that, they told us in MOHRE that the retention word was not there, so they changed the contract and made a deduction from March to May 40 % of the salary and took signatures. But the company told us it`s retention and they will return this money to us. After this, from June to August, they deducted our salary without any notice and signatures. For September`s salary, which we didn`t receive yet, it`s also with a 40% deduction and it will be the same until I resign. Can you advise if the company can deduct my salary for 4 months without any signatures and continue until I resign? In this situation, please advise for the above and tell me how much I will receive. Q: The bank filed a criminal complaint about a cheque of 200.000. I`m not in the country. If a lawyer has a POA from me, can go to the police station, find out what`s the situation and pay a fine on my behalf? Or I am the only one who must go to the police for the fine? Can the bank still hold the EOSB even after providing documents of the new job?
Q: I have been regularly paying my monthly installments until I lost my job and I know that the bank will deduct the amount from my EOSB until I get a new job. When I got my new job and processed all the documents like my visa and EID, I immediately submitted them to the bank along with my salary certificate which shows that I have the same salary from my previous employment and the same amount was used as the basis when the bank approved my loan. So basically, I will be able to pay the same EMI. I have been going to the bank several times to check the status of my request for the release of the EOSB and each time I go, they have different statements. Finally, I got a call and the bank says they won`t release it as it has to be partially used as a payment for my loan. What can I do?Nov 10, 2021

Is the tenant obliged to provide PDCs if it is not mentioned in the tenancy agreement?
Q: Hello Rajasree 1. The Lease Agreement for apartment rent states to be paid in 8 cheques. no mention of PDC or to give cheques in advance. 2. Lease does not specify that the cheques have to be given in advance or that they are to be PDC`s. 3. I am up-to-date on my rent payments. 4. As the lease did not specify cheques to be given in advance, I give them on a timely basis as and when due. 5. The landlord is demanding that I give the balance cheques as PDC`s and claiming it is a breach of contract. 6. The landlord is giving a 3-day notice to comply with the PDC`s or else pay the full balance of the rent. 7. The landlord is refusing to give me the landlord`s counter-signed lease copy. 8.
