Claiming fees from a sub-agent based on a verbal agreement and Whatsapp transactions
Q: Hello Sirs, I have a travel agency based in Abu Dhabi and I have a sub-agent (travel agency) who failed to pay me the visas issued under their responsibility. We only have a verbal agreement and WhatsApp transactions. We agreed that she`ll pay after every 5 days for each visa Issued. 15 days lapsed and still, she doesn`t want to pay and says their clients did not pay yet. It seems that they are putting the burden of their client’s non-payment on us, which should not be the case. She doesn`t pick up our calls or messages and she gets furious whenever we ask for payment. Each day is a grace period it seems. Please advise if there’s any way I can demand the amount from them and force them to pay us as soon as possible. They even continue doing business through other suppliers and left us pursuing them.Sep 22, 2022

Will I be entitled to my air ticket upon resignation if it is not mentioned in my contract?
Q: Hi, I have a concern regarding my contract. I have an unlimited contract and I`m on my 2 years now in the company. So, I`m planning to resign because I want to go back to my country for good now. And so, I just realized now that in my contract there are no written leave and ticket incentives after 2 years. So I`m wondering if I still have hope to get a free ticket from my company to go home even if it`s not written in my contract. Please. I hope somebody notices this. Is the manager of an LLC company liable for dishonored cheques?
Q: In 2020, I was the manager of a company that had an office in a free zone in Dubai. At the time, the partners did not have bank accounts/cheques in Dubai, and to make payments, 4 cheques from a third person were provided, who in addition to the 4 cheques, also provided an undertaking letter attached to the lease agreement. We carefully pay this person the amount related to the lease, as well as the value of all cheques. However, this person did not honor the payment of the last cheque. Now the free zone has opened a case against the company for the non-payment of rent. My question is, will the company be held responsible? If the company is held liable, am I as a manager liable in some way? And will I be responsible for paying this personally? The company no longer exists and I am the only partner who still lives here, in addition to having been the general manager.

Does a managing partner need a NOC from the company to work in another company?
Q: Does a managing partner holding an investor’s visa need a NOC from the company to work in another company? What should I do? The company didn’t operate yet, no letterhead or stamp, thus telling me they can’t provide it. Instead, they want me to cancel my visa. What will happen if they cancel my visa? Will I still be the managing partner and still be liable for the consequences of their acts? I`m just a managing partner by paper but I`m not the business owner. I took a loan on my name for a friend and he stopped paying. What can I do?
Q: Dear Advisor, One of my friends was working in the banking sector. One day he asked me to take a loan of AED 100,000, also he used all my credit cards. And he promised to pay every month. I took a loan for him. After 2 or 3 months, he stopped paying the dues, and several times I requested to pay but he didn`t pay. Finally, I paid all the money, more than AED 200,000. One day he agreed to pay AED 4,000 every month and settle my money and stopped paying that also after 1 year. Now, he is not responding and changed his contact number, I don`t know where is he now! Can anyone advise me on how to get my money back? He gave me a cheque. When I talked to him last time he said he lost his job also. There`s now around AED 147,000 balance.
