Q: I have a limited period contract for two years and I want to resign as per the internal contract (2 months).
I received another offer from a different company, and both companies are in Dubai.
Can the employer impose a labour ban on me?
If I get a labour ban, and since the new company is a free zone company, will the labour ban has effect as well?

Q: I am working with one of the companies in DMCC- JLT and want to resign from it.
However, as per my colleagues who left the company earlier, they say I need to pay them 45 days' salary or need to work 45 days without salary.
Is it true, although nothing is mentioned in my contract?
I am working with the company for 9 months and successfully completed my probation period. Please advise, I want to leave at the earliest.

Subject: Legal consequences of resignation in a limited labour contract
My neighbour brother earlier went to Dubai for packing work in a hotel for 2 months. And due to the condition of work & not getting a proper salary, he decided to resign.
When he intimated the same to the employer they said he should pay before leaving AED 4500 & his own ticket. He is from a very poor background that's why he came for AED 900 salary.
But now he got actually 750 only without food. Need your kind support to help him to come back to India.

Q: Hello.
My employer is asking for 45 days compensation and it's a limited contract, I have worked for 5 months and I am under probation.
I submitted my resignation and there was no mention of the penalty clause in the acceptance email. I replied saying I am in no position to pay the money and I can serve a notice.
How do I get out of this situation without having to pay my compensation?
Also, I would like to know if the compensation is on the basic salary.

Q: I am working in Jebel Ali Free Zone with a limited contract.
As per my offer letter I have to serve the notice period of 60 days and 45 days of basic salary. But I came to know my employer is charging 45 days of gross salary after serving the complete notice period.
Just wanted to check, is it legal to ask for 45 days of gross salary in case I serve the complete notice period?

I am currently working on a limited contract but I have finished the six months probation period. Now, I would like to resign from the company. As per the law, I need to pay 45 days' salary.
My question is if I complete the six months probation period and give resignation, will I get a ban?
And for the 45 days salary, is it accounted for based on the basic salary only or the full salary.

I need some guidance regarding a property transaction that is not progressing as expected.
My broker initiated a manual Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between me (the Buyer) and the Seller, with an expiry date of 01/02/2025. Within this period, I successfully arranged the bank mortgage, property evaluation, and NOC.
However, the broker started giving excuses, such as the seller being hospitalized. Later, the broker attempted to arrange a Power of Attorney (POA).
However, after that, they started ignoring my messages and calls. It now seems like they no longer intend to proceed with me, and the MOU has already expired.
Meanwhile, my bank EMI has already started, and I have paid two monthly installments. The broker is still unresponsive. I have raised multiple complaints through DLD RVS against the broker, but the response has been very slow and unsatisfactory.
I’m feeling stuck and financially burdened.

I'm building my house in Dubai, and it was going well.
I gave the contractor 420k as a first payment, and we both agreed that the rest would be in installments. Just two months ago, the contractor went off the grid, and I can't find him.
