Q: Sir, I want to go to my home country for treatment. They can give me annual vacation but they told me that you need to buy a ticket. But I can not afford a ticket because I have some problem in my home county. I spent so many money here but my problem is still not solved.

Leave dues and flight ticket allowance of the employee after renewing contract

Q: Good day, I just wanna ask about the benefits that I can get for my vacation. I just finished my 2 years' limited contract this month and they renewed my contract and gave me a vacation date from February to April. I have a monthly salary of AED 3300 with an AED 2000 basic salary. What are the benefits I can get upon the vacation period? And is it lawful for them to give a 1-way ticket and I am the one to buy the ticket for the way back? Thanks

After 10 months with my company, can I access leave and ticket fare?

Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I am an employee in a private firm, and I have completed 10 months. However, my company was taken over by another company. My company provides ticket fare at the month of the joining date. I have over 20 leaves. But my old company says that I can't take my leave; if I take it, it will be paid, and I'm not eligible for ticket fare because I have not completed one year. Please give me a proper answer!

My previous organization has not yet released EOSB because I contacted a client. Is this legal?

I recently joined a new organization in the Hamriyah Free Zone, and my previous organization has not released my end-of-service benefits. The HR has instructed the finance team not to do so because I had contacted one of their clients. In my DMCC contract, there is no Non-Compete clause, but the offer letter has one, and now they are not releasing the end-of-service. Is this legal? What are my rights?

How to file a case against my former company for unpaid salary I was not on their visa?

Dear Legal Advice Middle East, I hope you are well. I am seeking legal advice regarding an unpaid salary issue with my former employer, [-----]2 LLC. I was employed with them from December 4, 2024, to January 7, 2025, on a monthly salary of 5,000 AED. However, I only received a partial payment of 2,473 AED on February 24, 2025. The remaining 2,527 AED is still unpaid. I submitted a complaint to MOHRE on March 2, 2025, but I am unable to proceed further through their official channels. This is because I was working under the visa of my previous employer, [---] LLC, and not under [----]’s sponsorship. As a result, I do not meet the criteria to file a labor complaint via the MOHRE app or hotline. Given this situation, I would appreciate your guidance on how I can legally pursue the recovery of my remaining salary, considering the complications related to my visa status during the employment.
