Questions & Answers
What can I do if my employer canceled my visa but has not paid my EOSB?
Hello,
My employer has not paid my EOSB. They asked me to sign the work permit cancellation papers, promising that payment would be processed later through WPS.
However, they have now canceled my visa, and still have not paid the EOSB. There is no proper response when I inquire about it. What should I do?
It has been 37 days since my last working day.
Dear Client,
Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will assist you in this matter.
Your employer's actions violate UAE labor laws by not paying your EOSB within 14 days of your last working day and canceling your visa without payment.
To address this, immediately file a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), providing all relevant documentation.
Consult a labor lawyer for advice on your rights and potential legal action. Document all communications with your employer and send a formal written request for immediate EOSB payment.
If WPS payment was promised, insist on immediate processing. Act quickly, as there may be time limitations for filing complaints.
Your employer's actions constitute serious violations, and you have strong grounds for legal recourse, so don't delay in asserting your rights.
You can contact us via WhatsApp for further clarification or additional support. We are dedicated to providing professional, timely, and comprehensive assistance tailored to your situation.
Thank you!

1. File a formal complaint with MOHRE immediately.
2. If payment is not made within 14 days, go to the Labour Court.
3. Request an “employer ban” until all your dues are paid.
4. If you have large dues, you can file a complaint with the police.
Dear Questioner,
Since your employer has not paid your End of Service Benefits (EOSB) after canceling your visa and is unresponsive, you should file a complaint with MOHRE through their hotline, website, or a Tawjeeh/Tasheel center.
MOHRE will attempt mediation, but if the employer does not comply, the case will be referred to the Labour Court for enforcement.
If your EOSB was supposed to be processed through WPS but was not, this strengthens your case. You have a one-year deadline to file a labour case, so do not delay further.
If you need legal assistance to secure your rights, we are available to support you.
Hello,
Contact the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE).
Since it's been 37 days and you're not receiving proper responses, you should file a formal complaint with MOHRE.
They handle disputes related to unpaid wages, EOSB, and other labor-related issues.
According to the UAE Labor Law, employers are generally required to pay all dues, including End-of-Service Benefits (EOSB), within 14 days of the employee's last working day.
This applies to both resignations and terminations. In your case, since it's been 37 days since your last working day, your employer is clearly in violation of the law.
You may file a complaint with MOHRE in their portal. They will handle this issue.
If you need further clarification, you may ask us.
According to UAE law, you are entitled to receive your End of Service Benefits (EOSB) after your employment ends.
You can file a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) to take legal action against your employer if they refuse to pay your dues.
You can contact us via WhatsApp for the necessary legal support, as we specialize in such cases and provide appropriate consultations.
