Q: Labor Case
I have not been paid 4+ months in salaries of 40,500. I have served in the company 5.8+ years to date. I am due to pending salaries, leave salaries for 51 days, gratuity and a personal balance of 54,000.
My present company has been sold to another company and I have been requested to continue my job at a lower salary and demoted from my current position of General Manager which are terms of arbitrary termination.
I have refused to sign stating I will not do so until my pending salaries and dues are settled. They have not terminated me nor have I resigned from my current position as I believe they are not legally authorized too.
They have not transferred the TL to their names yet. However, they are sitting in our office and making transactions on behalf of the company and operating the bank accounts.
The previous owner is unreachable both by email and phone.
As per the above, what are my options to claim?

Claiming pending salary and EOS benefits after visa cancellation
20
Q: I want to know what are chances to get my pending salary and EOS benefits. I was working in a company based in JAFZA. The company was delaying the salary 2-3 months.
I started searching for a job and found a new one in DOHA-Qatar. I properly handed over and resigned.
They told me that the company doesn’t have money and they asked me to leave and join the new company without cancelling my visa.
They promised me that they will transfer my pending salary and EOS benefits once the company has money.
Later they refused to give me after sending many follow up emails. They cancelled my visa by saying I didn't come back form vacation.

Claiming labor entitlements after signing the cancellation paper

31
Q: I work for a company in IMPZ Dubai. I resigned on June 23 & my last working day was on July 22, 2018. My employer has not paid 2 months' salary & gratuity till date.
The company forcefully asked me to sign the cancellation paper and my visa got cancelled on August 16.
I have an email from the vice president of the company dated August 24 confirming that my settlements will be paid soon, and they mentioned in my settlement calculation that my dues will be paid upon visa cancellation, as this is their company policy.
Few other employees have left the company recently & the management followed the same process. i.e. visa cancellation first and then settlement of dues.
Kindly advise, how can I get my rights?

Restitution of down payment after cancellation of the booking 1
Hello!
I bought an apartment in Dubai 1 month ago from a developer and the owner is [------].
A few days ago, the agent called me to say that there are some problems with the building named studio 101 and if I want to cancel my booking to come to the office.
I went to the office and I signed the cancellation form. After a day, I found out that they closed the office so I went to DLD to file a complaint. I did and now nobody knows what happen or where my money is.
I paid AED 120000 down payment and I was about to start paying monthly according to the payment plan.
I want to mention that when I paid the down payment they gave me a receipt but never told me if the money went to the escrow account where they were supposed to go.
Can someone help me, please? How do I get my money back?

I’m looking to enter into a "finders fee" agreement to help introduce a US fund to potential investors in this region.
I am not a licensed securities dealer would not be acting as such.
I’d like to speak to a lawyer about key legal considerations and drafting of such a contract.
Thanks

Labour case by the employee after the payment of entitlements 0
One of our staff was on an Unlimited Contract. We gave him a 30 days' notice stating that we won't be renewing his contract.
We paid him in cash his EOSB - 21 days for each year + Leave Salary (not basic, but full salary) + Ticket Money in Cash.
He signed and it's mentioned in the company letter all full and final settlement received with no outstanding.
Now, this employee has filed a complaint at the Labor Department and denied receiving any cash. I have raised this complaint to Dubai Courts.
What are our chances of winning?
Unfortunately, my accountant didn't take his signature on the Receipt Voucher.
Kind regards,
Mark
