Is it necessary or allowed for me to have a lawyer with me during a remote trial session?

Hello,

I've submitted my evidence to the prosecutor that the amount in my cheque case has already been paid; however, the person I borrowed the money from does not agree, as he wanted it to be at 15% interest only.

Now, the prosecutor has referred my criminal case (cheque case) to the court, and I will be having a remote trial session.

Is it necessary or allowed for me to have a lawyer with me during the remote trial session?

It is not mandatory for a person to have a lawyer present during a remote trial session. However, it is highly recommended to have a lawyer represent you in court, especially in criminal cases such as a cheque case.

A lawyer can provide legal advice, help you understand the proceedings, and present your case effectively in court.

Hello,

While it’s possible for you to attend the remote trial without a lawyer, it’s highly advisable to have legal representation in such cases, especially if there’s a dispute about the interest rate and the payment of the cheque.

A lawyer can help present your evidence, challenge any false claims, and ensure that your rights are protected throughout the proceedings.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out!

Yes, it is both allowed and highly advisable to have a lawyer represent you during your remote trial session.

Having legal representation ensures that your rights are protected and that your defence is presented effectively, especially given the complexities of cheque cases and the dispute over the amount paid.

A lawyer can provide clarity on the evidence you have already submitted and address any legal arguments raised by the opposing party.

If you would like legal assistance or representation during this trial, I am available to support you. Please feel free to contact me via phone or email.

Dear Questioner,

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the upcoming remote trial session for your cheque case!

As per UAE law, you are fully entitled to legal representation during the trial process, including remote sessions.

It is both necessary and advisable to have a lawyer present during the trial, as they will be able to assist in presenting your case, addressing any legal issues, and protecting your rights.

Given the nature of your case, where there is a dispute regarding the amount and the claimed interest, it is important that your lawyer is with you to ensure that all evidence is presented accurately and your position is fully defended.

Your lawyer can either attend remotely or assist you during the session, depending on the court's procedures for remote hearings.

Should you require any assistance in preparing for the trial or in appointing legal representation, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I recommend that you ensure your lawyer is involved at the earliest to help you navigate the legal process effectively.

If you have further questions or require additional clarification, I am here to assist.

Best regards,
