Questions & Answers
The employer hasn't paid my salary or given me an experience letter. What can I do from abroad?
Hello,
I resigned in June, and my last working day was October 30. However, they still haven't paid my salary or given me an experience letter.
What should I do while staying in India?
Dear Questioner,
If your employer has not paid your salary or provided an experience letter after your resignation, here’s what you can do:
1. Send a Formal Request:
You should first send a formal written request to your employer, demanding the unpaid salary and the experience letter. Make sure to set a clear deadline for them to settle these matters.
2. Review Your Contract:
It’s important to review your employment contract to ensure that the terms regarding salary payments and the issuance of the experience letter are clear and that your rights are protected.
3. File a Complaint with MOHRE:
If your employer fails to respond, you can file a complaint with the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE). This can be done online, even if you are currently residing outside the UAE.
4. Consider Legal Action:
If the issue is not resolved through these means, you may need to take legal action against your employer.

Hello,
Under UAE labor law, your employer must pay you all outstanding salary and benefits (such as unused leave, end-of-service benefits, etc.) within 14 days after your last working day.
Employers are also required to provide an experience letter when an employee leaves.
You can still file a complaint online with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE).

Dear questioner,
If you have completed two years or the contract period, then you are entitled to receive an experience letter from the company.
If they are not providing the EOSB (End of Service Benefit), you can file a complaint with MOHRE and highlight both concerns: the experience letter and the salary.
If you need further assistance, kindly share your WhatsApp number.
Dear Client,
Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will assist you in this matter.
Since your former employer in Dubai has not paid your final salary or provided an experience letter after your resignation, you should first contact the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) to file a complaint.
Additionally, you can use the MOHRE app to obtain your job experience certificate, which is valid for one month.
Keep records of all correspondence with your employer and consider seeking legal advice if the issue remains unresolved.

Greetings,
According to UAE labor law, an employer must settle all outstanding dues, including salary, within 14 days of an employee's resignation.
If your employer has not paid your salary or provided you with an experience letter within this time frame, you have the right to file a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE).
You can file a complaint online through the MOHRE website or by visiting one of their offices in person.
You will need to provide evidence of your employment, such as your employment contract and proof of your last working day.
The MOHRE will then investigate the matter and take necessary action to ensure your dues are paid and you receive your experience letter.
It is important to note that if your employer fails to pay your dues, they may face penalties and fines. Therefore, it is advisable to file a complaint with the MOHRE as soon as possible.
We are happy to assist you.
Best Regards,
You may send a final reminder to your company. If they are still not responding, you can file a complaint online through the MOHRE website.
Be ready to provide documents like your employment contract, salary slips, resignation letter, and any other relevant paperwork.
Monitor the status of your complaint and follow up with MOHRE regularly.
If you need further clarification, kindly share your WhatsApp number. We will discuss more.
