Questions & Answers
Can I proceed with my investment case without paying the court fee upfront?
Dear Lawyers,
The judge has again rejected our second request to delay the court fees. Our lawyer has advised that we can proceed with the re-registration of the case as soon as the court fee payment is received from your end.
The court fee is 21k, which I am unable to pay. Is there any option to request paying the fee after the case is won? This case involves a 400k investment where I didn’t get my money back or any profit.
I went to court for legal action and have already paid 14k to the law firm, but now I am unable to pay further. I don’t know what to do.
Please advise!

Unfortunately, if the judge has rejected your request to delay the court fees, there may not be any other option to request a payment plan or reduction in fees.
You may also want to consider reaching out to the other party and see if they are willing to settle the case outside of court.
This could potentially save you from having to pay the full court fees. However, if the case has already been registered and is moving forward, it may be difficult to negotiate a settlement at this point.
Consider discussing your financial situation with your lawyer to explore potential solutions, such as restructuring payments, seeking pro bono help, requesting a payment plan, applying for a fee waiver, exploring contingency fees, utilizing crowdfunding, negotiating a settlement, or seeking financial assistance.
Welcome,
You may be able to request the court for a payment delay or installment plan for the court fees, especially given your financial situation and the nature of the case.
In some cases, the court can offer an extension or reduce the fees if you are unable to pay them upfront.
Additionally, it might be possible to discuss with your lawyer or the court whether the payment can be made contingent on the outcome of the case.
