Consequences of resignation during the probation period

Hi,

I am an employee in the probation period. The company is based in a free zone. I want to resign and apply to my own company based in Sharjah free zone.

Can you tell me if I could be banned to apply for a visa to my own company? Can I resign without a notice period? What is the risk?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You are in the free zone, and there is no ban in the free zone.

Resignation during probation

The date of the employment visa will be considered for your probation.

If you do not have a visa there won't be a ban. If you have a visa and if you did not complete one year of service, an automatic six months or one-year labour ban may be imposed by the Ministry of Labour upon request by your employer.

No employment visa shall be issued to you until the period of the ban is completed.

If you have a limited contract: you must complete one-year of service + liable to PAY compensation not work to make it up for early termination of the contract.

If you have an unlimited contract: you must complete one-year of service + serve one month notice.

No one can stop you if you want to leave. Just understand that there will be a ban. You do not have to pay anything to your employer in terms of visa cost.
